EOS Online Merchant

EOS Online Merchant is an Open Source online shopping cart derived from osCommerce via CRE  Loaded.  It offers important new functionality and a substantial number of refactored features designed to improve cart performance.  Currently in Alpha release, it is moving quickly towards its first Beta release.  You can find a live demo of the most recent release at http://demo.eosonlinemerchant.org. The retail user demo id is test1 and the password is the same as the id. 

The demo site is currently at release version 0.54 Alpha pre-release.

The Admin demonstration will can be found at http://demo.eosonlinemerchant.org/admin/ and may be accessed using the ID demo and the password demo.

 Significant changes include improved normalization of the product tables, with images and price groups being placed in their own tables.  The operational implications of these changes is effectively unlimited images per product, and a very flexible selection of price breaks per product, per customer group.  Each product may have as few as one price per group, or as many as your hardware platform and MySQL will allow.

EOS also includes impressive support for distribution of virtual products including file downloads and media presentation with its own integrated file library and  media gallery systems. 

Current activities are focused on the implementation of full product inventory support down to the option level using a separate table and improved granularity of tax zones.  This will facilitate integration with POS systems and store managers such as Stone Edge Order Manager and allow commercial grade support for tax management.
